By creating strong initial concepts, Snøhetta is able to accommodate a wide variety
of modifications to the scheme without sacrificing the envisioned qualities. Creating
models and renderings allows for studies of form and function. Ideas can be tried,
tested, developed, discarded and carried forward.
Shown here are just a few of the concepts developed by
Snøhetta for the Museum Pavilion at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
These creations allow for studies in the facade and shape, and they demonstrate how
each interacts with site, light, and users. They allow direct communication both to the
client and with internal collaborators.
