Snøhetta's design approach for the Museum Pavilion is characterized by an exploration of context. This important place carries with it the power of its history and a new hope for the future. It is a place that conveys the memories and dreams of all those around the world who are affected by its presence without forgetting its intimate connection with the people of New York. Snøhetta's design creates a natural and unimposing, yet memorable, building that complements the essential integrity of this sublime ground. The design team has had to integrate multiple scheduling streams with adjacent projects, some of which involve separate clients.
