You can install this software on any Windows computer at the Libraries using Software Center.

Can I install this software on my own computer?

The Libraries does not provide software for download to personal computers. It's possible you can get it from somewhere else on campus. Check other options for installing software on your computer.

What else do I need to know about this software?

Do I need a login to use ATLAS.ti?

Yes, users must authenticate with a personal ATLAS.ti account in order to use the desktop software or cloud app.

How do I request an ATLAS.ti account?

  1. Fill out the Data and Visualization request form* indicating that you need an ATLAS.ti account. 
  2. You will receive and invite link within 0-2 days.
  3. Click on the invite link to create an account.

You will now be able to log into the ATLAS.ti desktop software anywhere it is installed.

*Friday Institute users must request an account through the Friday Institute IT staff.

We request that class instructors fill out the form on behalf of your class, rather than have your students submit individual requests.

Can I download ATLAS.ti to my personal computer?

If you have requested and received an ATLAS.ti account (instructions in section above), or if you have your own ATLAS.ti account, you can download the software to your personal computer.

  1. Log in to ATLAS.ti using the account you created previously
  2. On account dashboard, select the link to download the installer file corresponding to your operating system, or choose to use ATLAS.ti web
  3. Follow the instructions in the installer dialog window
  4. Once the software is installed and launched, you will be prompted to log in with your ATLAS.ti account.
