More Information about Libraries Software

Find software available in the Libraries

This software is licensed specifically for use on Libraries computers.

Find software available for download

Looking for software to download onto your personal computer? Check campus-wide software licenses provided by OIT (Unity login required to view software for download through OIT).

Installing software on a Libraries computer

You can install software in the Libraries catalog onto Libraries computers where it isn't installed currently.

Software available on any of our Mac computers can be installed on any other Libraries Mac computer using Self Service.

Software available on any Windows computers can be installed on any other Libraries Windows computer using Software Center.

Some software may take extra time to install and set up depending on the complexity of the application.

The Libraries does not support downloading software from the internet onto Libraries' computers for security reasons.

Get help using software

NC State University has access to LinkedIn Learning Tutorials (Unity ID login required) which cover many of our software programs. Once you have logged in, type in the name of the software in the search bar at the top of the page.

If you would like in-person help, Request a Technology Consultation.

Request software for Libraries computers

You can request for the Libraries to add new software to our catalog by using our online Software Request form (Unity ID login required).

We will evaluate requests based on cost, licensing, technical requirements, demand, and purpose.

We cannot guarantee that we can fulfill every software request or that we can install it by your desired date. We install approved requests twice during the fall session and once each during the spring and summer sessions.
