Generalist Data Repositories

In addition to Dryad, there are several other generalist or open repositories for research data that may be an appropriate venue for publishing your work. Like Dryad, repositories such as  Zenodo, figshare, and Harvard Dataverse are good options when there is no appropriate disciplinary repository for your work.

Though the features of these repositories are generally similar, certain policies regarding storage limits, costs, and allowable formats vary among platforms. The American Geophysical Union has compiled a useful comparison of generalist data repositories.
