This collection is comprised of notes and records of the National Textile Center from 1992-2000. These records include correspondence, meeting and committee notes, budget proposals, and funding information.
The National Textile Center (NTC) is a clustered research consortium of four universities--North Carolina State University, Auburn University, Clemson University, and Georgia Institute of Technology--located in the heart of the U.S. textile industries manufacturing base. The institutions share human resources, equipment and facilities to serve the Fiber/Textile/Fabricated Products/Retail complex. The Center provides the knowledge base for the continuing viability of the U. S. industry through innovative research and collaborative partnerships. NTC was established to achieve research, education, and partnerships and at N. C. State has provided the foundation for successful textile protection and comfort labs.
