Library Technology Career Jumpstart Program

The Library Technology Career Jumpstart Program was offered virtually for the third year in a row from NC State University Libraries during the week of August 1-5, 2022.

The Jumpstart Program was a free, immersive, weeklong virtual experience that helped to prepare first-year library school students for a career in library technology upon graduation.

Participants...

• developed an ongoing relationship with a mentor
• glimpsed “a day in the life” of tech librarians
• attended technical workshops
• networked with professionals at top institutions
• built technical portfolios
• learned how to apply and interview for technical positions in libraries
