About This Workshop

Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are a popular mechanism for publishing data. Data.gov, Twitter, and Facebook are examples of entities publishing their data through APIs. This workshop offers an introduction to APIs and JSON, the most common data format used in APIs. By the end of this workshop you will gain a basic understanding of the JSON data format, how to work with JSON data, and how to access a variety of APIs.
