Greetings to the Stoskopfs

WHO SHOULD SUBMIT CONTENT?

Those who are interested in providing a special message of well-wishes to the symposium hosts, Michael and Suzanne Kennedy-Stoskopf, can use this opportunity to share their thoughts.

WHAT SHOULD BE SUBMITTED?

A short, 3-minute video where you can express your gratitude, respect, or otherwise fond thoughts for Michael and Suzanne or your excitement about the Symposium itself.

WHEN ARE SUBMISSIONS DUE?

Content submissions must be received no later than May 15, 2019.

WHERE WILL THE SUBMITTED CONTENT BE DISPLAYED?

Content will be displayed on video walls throughout the symposium at James B. Hunt, Jr. Library. Submitted materials would also be included in the web presence of the material from the symposium and be archived in our special collections.

HOW SHOULD CONTENT BE SUBMITTED?

Content submissions should include an MP4 file of your presentation and a signed copy of this form which donates the video to our special collections.

For those of you that may have concerns, institutional or personal, the permissions form, despite all of the verbiage, only gives the libraries permission to include the piece in our special collections and use it as part of the collection, but does not transfer copyright, etc. You or your heirs or employers retain copyright and all future use rights etc. This simply lets us curate the videos and display/present them as part of our special collection on zoological health.

Both content and waivers can be submitted electronically through this Qualtrics Form.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • Files must be in MP4 format.
  • No longer than 3 minutes in length.
  • All presentations should include 4 seconds of black pre- and post-roll to allow for ease of integration with the video walls.
  • Videos should be recorded at an ideal resolution of 1080p. The minimum resolution we will accept is 720p.
  • The aspect ratio of the video should be 16:9.
  • Videos can be shot by a videographer, cell phone, camcorder, etc., however, we ask that they be viewable, in the sense sharp enough to resolve and held steady.
  • If using a cell phone to record, make sure the video is recorded in landscape orientation.
  • Please avoid very loud, sudden or distracting noises in the soundtrack of your presentation. These videos will be initially displayed in a library.

To be eligible for display, content submissions must be appropriate for viewing by the general public of all ages as determined by the NC State University Libraries.
