At the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC), staff assist patrons with accessing the Libraries' special collections.

    Brickyard Entrance

    Elevator

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Brickyard Entrance. 
    • Go through the library gates and turn right.
    • Continue towards the reading room and the elevator bay will be on your left. 
    • Take the elevator to the first floor. 
    • Turn right after exiting the elevator bay and follow the balcony around to the right. 
    • Continue straight through the lobby and into the Learning Commons.
    • Continue straight through the Exhibit Gallery to reach the Special Collections Reading Room entrance.
    • The Special Collections Service Desk is on your right. 

    Stairs

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Brickyard Entrance.
    • Go through the library gates.
    • Take the stairs up to the first floor.
    • After exiting the stairwell, turn right and continue straight through the lobby and into the Learning Commons.
    • Continue straight through the Exhibit Gallery to reach the Special Collections Reading Room Room entrance.
    • The Special Collections Service Desk is on your right. 

    Hillsborough St. Entrance

    Elevator and Stairs

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Hillsborough St. entrance.
    • Go straight through the gates and turn left.
    • Continue down the hallway until you reach the stairs and elevator.
    • Take the stairs or elevator to the first floor.
    • Continue straight through the lobby and into the Learning Commons.
    • Continue straight through the Exhibit Gallery to reach the Special Collections Reading Room entrance.
    • The Special Collections Service Desk is on your right.
