Susan Little is a native of Lake Waccamaw, N.C. She did her undergraduate work in art at Randolph Macon Women’s College. By some interesting, if not convoluted circumstances, she ended up in the landscape architecture master’s program at the North Carolina State University School (now College) of Design in 1972 as one of the few women in the School. Susan, and her husband, landscape architect Mack Little, are partners in Little and Little. She has had an exemplary career as a landscape architect, and in 1994, was accepted as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
