Staff participated in the 16th annual Cooperating Raleigh Colleges (CRC) Library Workshop on June 15 at the Finch Library at William Peace University in Raleigh. Colleagues across Raleigh discussed topics such as AI tools, social media, sustainable growth, and collaboration opportunities around the theme of “Avenues to the Future: The Challenge of Change.” The workshop agenda is here.

Attendees came from all of the CRC institutions (NC State, Saint Augustine, William Peace, Shaw, Meredith, and Wake Tech) and several local schools, media centers, and public libraries. Many of our colleagues from the Libraries took the stage including Hannah Rainey, Kristy Borda, and Tyler Kroon on "Navigating the AI Landscape: Leveraging Tools to Enhance Research;" Robin Davis on "Designing for Stressed Users, your New Default Audience;" and Anne Burke and Alison Edwards on "Cultivating Sustainable Growth: Strategies for Managing Change in an Information Literacy Program.”

“The CRC Library Workshop is always a fantastic opportunity to meet up with colleagues from across the city, and serves as an excellent reminder of the challenges and opportunities we all face together,” says Shaun Bennett, who was on the Library Workshop Planning Committee. “Renewing those friendships and networks is always valuable, and I'm looking forward to future collaborations.”
