About This Exhibit

These projects are from the Spring 2023 course, TDE 261 Digital Media Education, led by instructor Mariam Elias. Working in teams, the students were asked to define a specific target audience and create an original, 30-second commercial video advertising a product to their chosen audience.

In completing this project, the students faced multiple challenges and utilized skills in preproduction, production, and postproduction to achieve their objectives. Their final videos are on display, along with the storyboards they used to plan what shots they would use in the videos, and other contextualizing information. The projects’ subject matter range from college-focused cleaning products to pet rocks, and speak to the student experience at NC State.
