Meta Quest Pro

The Quest Pro is a development & research-focused upgrade to Meta's Quest line of standalone headsets. Featuring a higher resolution 1800x1920px per eye display, high-resolution pass-through cameras and IR depth sensors, the Quest Pro is a great option for mixed reality development that focuses on specific emerging interaction use-cases. 

While the Quest Pro is a technical upgrade on the Quest series, it's also more focused on Mixed Reality use-cases and development audiences. 

This device is geared towards app creation and is not the best for gaming. If you would like a gaming device we recommend the Meta Quest 2 available for walkup at both DH Hill and Hunt.

Want to try out the Quest Pro?

The Quest Pro is available to use in the VR Studio.  The Quest Pro lends in a factory reset state. 

To use Meta Quest Pro you’ll need: 
 

• An active VR Studio Orientation: This ~10 minute course is available online and familiarizes users with the available resources and existing policies within our VR Studio. 
• A Meta account: Meta accounts let you separate your VR profile from other social profiles, allowing you to maintain any gamertag and persona you’d like to bring with you to VR. Learn more about Meta accounts . 
• The Meta Quest mobile app: You can use the Meta Quest app to set up the headset for your specific profile, download content, update account info, use built-in social features, cast what you see in VR to another device, and more. 
• The minimum OS requirements for phones to run the Meta Quest mobile app are: Apple iOS 10+ Android 5.0+ 
• Perform a setup process to begin your session with the headset in the VR Studio.
