The Technician ran a nice feature about what’s up in the Innovation Studio and VR Studio—sort of a check-in on high-tech spaces in the Hill Library from a student perspective.

The Libraries’ Colin Keenan is interviewed, and the piece goes into detail about the hologram exhibit of work by Jeff Wilkinson and RJ Washington (which you need to check out if you haven’t already). Keenan also gives a pretty great explanation of how a hologram works, if you’ve always wondered!

Keenan also nicely sums up the mission of such spaces: “This is a really opportune university for multidisciplinary use of these technologies, not just engineering students having their hands on it, and not just designers having their hands on it. Working on those topics together—that's what's always excited us about it.”
