How do I use the in room display?

Connect a laptop with an HDMI cable (recommended)

In the rooms where an HDMI cable is available, connect your laptop to the screen with that cable. It is the most reliable method.

• After you plug the HDMI cable into your laptop, if the connection to the screen is not automatic, find the control panel on the wall near the screen and press the HDMI button.
• If you need HDMI adapters, they are available to check out at the Ask Us desk.

Connect a laptop with a wireless connection (Hill Library only)

• Windows laptop connection instructions
• Your Mac laptop connection instructions
• Libraries Mac laptops checked out from Ask Us: Sorry, these cannot connect wirelessly to the screens in Study Rooms.

Use the in room computer (not available in all rooms)

Some Study Rooms have a computer behind the screen. You may use it with the keyboard in the room. Press the “PC” button on the control panel on the wall.
