Your Libraries staff has a talent for helping students and faculty find the learning, teaching, and research resources you need. Many of them are also talented and accomplished artists and craftspeople in a stunningly wide range of media! That talent is on display in the Libraries Staff Art Show in the Hill Library’s Visualization Studio (third floor) this week.

You’ll see artwork in a 30-minute loop of still images and video on the Visualization Studio walls ranging from woodworking, conte crayons, digital illustrations, and photography, to bookbinding, quilting, crochet, and even cooking! You’ll see staff music videos along with some physical artworks in the space including metalworking, oil painting, and stained glass.

“I think it's widely accepted that we have remarkable staff here in the Libraries, but it's not often that we get to shine a spotlight on staff expertise and skill outside of our professional context,” says Shaun Bennett, Research Librarian for Business, Education, & Data Literacy, who led the art show team. “The Staff Art Show is designed to shine that light, showcasing the remarkable diversity of talent and interests present in the Libraries. It has been incredibly inspiring to see the breadth of that talent, and I'm grateful to all the creatives who put their work out there for display.”
