Color Science Research
On view Thursday, December 16, 2021 to Wednesday, May 17, 2023
About This Exhibit
NC State’s Color Science Lab conducts a wide array of research on color, from human perception and social affect to industrial production and quality control. They use specialized equipment, precise measurement, and rigorous study to better understand color, and to more effectively control its application.
This exhibit features current research in the Color Science and Imaging group and includes the examination of human color perception and analysis of sources of variability from physiological, psychological and environmental factors. NCSU Libraries and the Color Science Lab have partnered to raise awareness about color blindness and the ways it hinders learning. For this exhibit, the Libraries have worked with EnChroma to allow their color blind glasses to be available to test in the Innovation Studio and to check out at our Ask Us desk!
