Tourino to serve on Faculty Senate

Congrats to Greg Tourino, Lead Librarian for Textiles & Engineering Research Librarian, who has been elected as the Libraries’ representative to the University Faculty Senate!

The Faculty Senate is a body of representatives from each college, school, and other constituency of the University and serves as a liaison between the governing body of the faculty and the faculty of the constituency that the senator represents. The Senate meets every other week and provides advice to the Chancellor and, through the Chancellor, to the Board of Trustees. Senators discuss and recommend policies to any administrator who is authorized to make a decision, including the Chancellor, Provost, and Vice Chancellors. Tourino joins Maria Collins (Assoc. Chair of Faculty) and Laura Blessing as Libraries representatives in the Senate.
