Love at the Libraries!

This lovely Wolfpack couple recently got engaged at the exact table in the Hunt Library where they first met. Thomas Saunders, a Master’s candidate in Computer Science who’s serving with the Army in Knightdale, proposed to Zhiyang Chen (‘20) who’s a Quantitative Treasury Analyst in Charlotte with Truist. 

“I study at Hunt all the time,” Saunders says, “so my asking her to come with me before getting on the road to head home for my birthday didn’t raise any flags concerning what I was about to do. She was completely surprised and moved. I think my words came out clear, I’m not sure—I was so nervous. I just know she said yes and that’s all that matters!”
