Open Education Southern Symposium

Registration is now open for the Open Education Southern Symposium (OESS), to be held online July 12-16. The OESS provides equitable access and opportunities for open education professional development in the southern United States, fostering regional and local collaborations and partnerships and raising awareness about open education.

Co-sponsored by the University of Arkansas University Libraries, the NC State University Libraries, and the University of Arkansas Global Campus, this year’s OESS has the theme “Open Connections: Regional and Local Community Building for Equity and Sustainability.” Its keynote speaker will be Anita Walz, Assistant Director of Open Education and Scholarly Communication Librarian, Virginia Tech University.

The OESS is now accepting proposals for presentations and panel discussions. The proposal deadline is Fri., March 19. Submission guidelines are here.
