The authors demonstrate that rigorous evaluation, modest ideas, and openness to re-thinking assumptions can lead to sustained, positive change. It was another powerful example for me of what can happen when I set my own assumptions and expectations aside to be open to new ideas and perspectives. The book takes a seemingly intractable challenge, global poverty, and provides insight, hope, and light.
