Check out the Libraries on Twitch

Check out the Libraries on Twitch. Drop-in daily with questions about the Makerspace and VR.

The Libraries is now streaming live every weekday on Twitch! We’ll be making and coding things, demonstrating services, and answering questions about the Makerspace and the VR Studio—all in an informal, virtual space.

“People might stop by our Twitch streams to ask about what kind of 3D modeling software would work best for an assignment, how to start hand-sewing masks from home, or they may want to follow along while someone tackles a new high score in Beat Saber," Libraries Fellow Claire Cahoon says.

Drop in during our open hours on this schedule:

  • VR Studio: Mondays & Thursdays, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Fridays 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • Makerspace: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

"Twitch is an informal, virtual space where anyone can stop by and see what our services are all about,” says Libraries Fellow Claire Cahoon. “The Libraries streamers interact with viewers in real-time over chat, answering questions about our equipment, programs, and the Libraries while they showcase the technology and expertise of those spaces live.”

“Especially while some of our physical spaces are closed, this is a great way to have everyday, informal interactions with people about the Libraries and continue offering help,” Cahoon adds. “Our drop-in hours for the Hill Makerspace and VR Studio let anyone follow along at home and talk about topics like 3D modeling, painting in VR, sewing, and more.
