The NC State University Libraries invites applications to participate in the Open Project Engagement Network (OPEN) Incubator, a five-week, online program designed to advance a research project from idea to proof-of-concept. The fall 2020 incubator will focus on text analysis research projects.
The OPEN Incubator offers participants sustainable strategies to enhance their research workflow through conversations with other members of the cohort, as well as individual consultations with researchers and information specialists in the Libraries. Facilitated through the Libraries’ Copyright and Digital Scholarship Center, the incubator emphasizes producing research outputs that are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR).
Participants in the OPEN Incubator will discuss concepts, resources, methods, and techniques that can help refine project directions. Topics may include:
The fall 2020 cohort will be scheduled based on participants’ availability. Weekly meetings will be 1.5 hours (online via Zoom). In order to promote a more open research culture, the Libraries may provide some ongoing support for projects following the completion of the program.
