Animal Orchestrations

Led by Jason Evans Groth, Digital Media Librarian and Aaron Keane, Music Instructor, NC State

Whether you feel comfortable sitting in front of a music keyboard or spend most of your day on a computer keyboard, you can make music with a little help from online resources. You do not have to be a trained musician or even have much in the way of musical aptitude. All you need to do is be willing to explore the possibilities of rhythms and beats with some assists from the wide array of “music” animals around us make. At the end of this workshop, participants will share their musical creations. The goal is to realize that music is a media for communication that will expand audiences for your ideas. As you move forward, you will be able to create music with resources readily available at your fingertips.
