Game Lab reopens in Hunt Library

James B. Hunt Jr. Library Game Lab.

Gamers can celebrate at the Hunt Library this spring. The Hunt Library’s Game Lab re-opens on January 28 with improvements to make gaming and gaming research better and more comfortable. And the Game Lab isn’t just for folks with a game fix—it’s a valuable and versatile space for teaching, workshops, and the interactive exploration of data.

The refreshed Game Lab features multiple gaming systems and a 19.68’ X 4.43’ Leyard LED touch-interactive video wall, which can be used as a single panoramic screen or divided into up to three sections with varying inputs. The bezel-free HD display offers a maximum resolution of 4800x1080. Now with an increased capacity of 32, the room’s new flexible furniture allows faculty and instructors to request a variety of furniture arrangements.

The Game Lab refresh and new Dataspace are thanks to the generous support of an anonymous foundation grant.
