How do I search for patents?

The best single source of patent information we have is the Derwent Innovations Index database (available through the Web of Knowledge platform).

If you are searching for a known patent, (i.e. you have a patent number), you can look it up using the USPTO web site or Google Patents' Advanced Search option.
