Khan is a “New Leader”

Libraries Fellow Nushrat Khan has been recognized with the 2017-2018 New Leaders Award from the Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T).

The award amount defrays up to $1,000 of travel costs for the next two ASIS&T Annual Meetings and covers conference registration for these two years. Kahn will be assigned a mentor and has a variety of continuing responsibilities, including attendance at Annual Meetings and writing blog posts on her work for the association website.

Khan co-chairs the Special Interest Group in Digital Libraries (SIG-DL), an ASIS&T group devoted to the discussion of research, development, and use of digital libraries in corporate, academic, and public contexts.
