On view

This online exhibit was created in 1999 shortly after the installation of Marye Anne Fox as NCSU chancellor. Becoming the leader of NCSU in 1998, she was the first woman to hold this position. During her tenure, the number of endowed chairs and professorships and endowed and designated merit scholarships increased substantially. The number of buildings on Centennial Campus doubled. The university emerged as a national pacesetter in a number of science and technology programs.
