About This Event

Virtual reality devices are quickly becoming a prevalent technology available to a mass audience. From VR headsets to mobile phones, these devices offer new and exciting opportunities to create immersive and impactful experiences. Developing a successful virtual experience relies not only on the hardware and software being used but also on the thoughtful design of the virtual environment. In this Coffee & Viz, Dr. Helen Armstrong and Dr. Derek Ham from NC State's College of Design will explore the current state of virtual reality and discuss the methods and challenges of designing for virtual reality as it relates to their work.

Following the program, Drs. Armstrong and Ham will lead a workshop on Virtual Reality Prototyping from 10:30-noon. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Register here.
