About This Event

Dr. Ruoying He, Distinguished professor in the Department of Marine, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, will discuss how visualization and computer modeling can aid in the understanding and prediction of the “ocean weather." He will discuss key processes driving “ocean weather” variability and procedures of developing ocean prediction models and visualizations. Examples on how these models and visualizations are used to mitigate both natural and human induced marine environmental disasters will be provided.
