Check Out Books at Other University Libraries

Current NC State students, faculty, and staff are entitled to check out books from libraries at any of the 16 campuses of the University of North Carolina and at Duke University in Durham.

Request Resources Online Through Tripsaver

You can request resources from another university online through our interlibrary loan service, Tripsaver. Your requested materials will be delivered to your selected pickup library or delivered digitally through email. 

Mail Delivery for Distance Learners

Mail delivery is available to any NC State student, faculty, or staff member. We can deliver books from any library directly to your home. To learn more and sign up for delivery by mail, view our instructions for distance learners.

Before Visiting Another University Library

If you want to check out materials at another university library by physically going to their campus make sure to:

  • Take your campus ID (Wolfpack One Card),  this will have your borrower ID number (9-digit number on the card).
  • Be prepared to login to your library account to verify it is in an active status.
