3D Visualization of Anatomical Structures Using Amira

Over the past decade, many scientific disciplines have increasingly utilized digital imaging modalities (such as CT, DTI or MRI) to assess biological tissues. To analyze and interpret these datasets, powerful toolkits for the processing of 3D image stacks have emerged. This presentation will introduce some of the applications of one such software package—Amira, which is now available to use in the Dataspace—and discuss possible uses for these data within a research setting.
