Staff Notes: Kristen Merryman

Kristen Merryman (Special Collections) presented “User Community as Project Advisors: NCSU Libraries’ Collaboration with the Architecture Community” at the Visual Resources Association and the Art Libraries Society of North America joint conference (VRA + ARLIS/NA) in Minneapolis, MN, March 27, 2011. In the poster, Merryman details how the Special Collections Research Center has developed digital projects such as “Beaux Arts to Modernism” using direct input from communities most likely to use the Libraries' digitized architectural collections, helping to ensure that the content and functionality of the digital projects correlate with users’ interests and needs while also facilitating investment in the Libraries' projects.
