Culler receives ACRL scholarship

NCSU Libraries Fellow Tori Culler has been awarded an ACRL 2021 Scholarship to attend the virtual conference in April. The scholarship provides early and mid-career librarians with opportunities to expand their professional horizons, update their skills and knowledge, and learn more about current issues and developments in academic and research libraries.

In his letter of nomination, Senior Vice Provost and Director of Libraries Greg Raschke wrote of Culler’s leadership in developing the programming for the Innovation Studio and launching our Library Technology Career Jumpstart Program (LTCJP).

“Tori led the planning committee, liaised with attendees, and created content for several technical workshops,” Raschke wrote about Culler’s work on the LTCJP. “She considered how we might better recruit underrepresented students, leading to a diverse applicant pool and cohort. Tori’s contributions ensured that this inaugural offering was an unmitigated success.” Raschke also lauded Culler’s work with faculty members to offer tailored instruction and workshops in the Innovation Studio covering topics like “future thinking” and “signals of change.”
