The Special Collections Research Center is proud to announce a new collection guide is now available for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Audiovisual Materials.  The new guide reflects a large addition of film reels, videotapes, and videodiscs that were acquired from University Communications in 2019.

Many of the research strengths of NC State University are showcased through these films and videos.  Topics include poultry science, horticulture, gardening, food science, animal husbandry, swine management, economics, and agriculture.  There is a subseries of videotapes and DVDs produced by North Carolina Cooperative Extension that includes items on programs such as 4-H Youth Development and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP).  Another notable series is Economic Perspective and Economic Focus, two radio programs featuring NC State Professor Michael Walden.  Economic Perspective has been a weekly program carried on radio stations in five states. Economic Focus has been a weekly one-minute radio program carried on as many as 42 stations. It also appears regularly on the show Almanac, on WUNC-TV.  The series contains shows from 1980 to 2015.
