NC literary stars shine at Hunt

Literary Hall of Famers pictured.

North Carolina’s rich literary history is interwoven with NC State University. A new exhibit in the Hunt Library iPearl Immersion Theater honors authors in the North Carolina Hall of Fame with NC State connections.

Since 1996, the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame (NCLHOF) has honored many accomplished writers from the state. The exhibit stands as a congratulations to all of the NCLHOF inductees and especially an acknowledgement of those writers who have connections to the university.

Organized by Exhibits Program Librarian Molly Renda and Erin Delahunty, a College of Design senior majoring in Design Studies, the exhibit offers interesting information about NC authors who have taught and/or studied at NC State including Betty Adcock, James W. Clark, Gerald Barrax, Lee Smith, Guy Owen, Richard Walser, Robert Morgan, Sam Ragan, Walter Hines Page, and Jill McCorkle.
