Gender-inclusive restrooms now open in D. H. Hill

As part of its commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive spaces, the NCSU Libraries has opened two gender-inclusive restrooms in the first-floor Ask Us lobby in D. H. Hill Jr. Library. These are in addition to the gender-inclusive restroom at the Hunt Library, which is beyond the yellow staircase on the first level in the same corridor as the lactation room.

Gender-inclusive restrooms are single-stall, lockable, accessible (ADA compliant) facilities. These facilities are open to people of all genders and provide a safer and more welcoming space to someone who may be transgender or may not identify with the male or female gender binary.

The NC State GLBT Center maintains a list of gender-inclusive restrooms throughout campus.
