Book cover

Every page of Ed Yong's An Immense World is packed with fascinating facts about how other creatures perceive the environments around them. Catfish have taste buds all over the bodies. Birds can see ultraviolet light. Sea turtles can sense the magnet poles which helps them navigate. Some blind humans have learned to navigate through their own echolocation. These are only a few examples of the amazing knowledge shared in this book. I simply couldn't put it down as I learned about all sorts of animals and the tenacious scientists who study them. I really believe anyone who enjoys learning more about the world would enjoy this book. The best description is "wondrous!"
