Cataloger Daniels Recognized for Excellence

Patrice Daniels

Patrice Daniels of the NCSU Libraries' Metadata and Cataloging Department was recently honored at the University Awards for Excellence Luncheon as one of only four nominees from the Provost's Unit. This award recognizes excellence in the areas of outstanding state government service, innovations, public service, safety and heroism, and human relations.

Daniels was recognized for her outstanding work as a cataloger and as the training coordinator for her department. Her colleague, Anne Navarro, described the significance of her work in the nomination letter: "[A]lthough Patrice is very much a 'behind the scenes' worker, everyone who has used the NCSU Libraries catalog over the last 26.5 years has benefited from her knowledge, patience, and ability to train."
