National Forests and Parks

TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS

Detailed topographic maps of National Forests, National Parks and some National Monuments are listed in the library catalog, and are shelved in the sudoc classification section of the maps collection.

TRAIL MAPS

Because the NC State University Libraries is a federal government depository, we received promotional brochures distributed to libraries by the federal government until 2009. These brochures frequently contain site maps, trail maps or other simple maps. Only the most recent copy of these brochures are retained.

To obtain printed brochures and maps, search the library catalog by the name of the park or forest and request what you need through the catalog.

Many of these brochures are also available online at the web sites for the National Park Service or the Forest Service.
