Biographical/historical note

The Faculty Well Being Advisory Committee (FWBAC) was formed in January of 2008 by Provost Larry Nielsen. It was formed in response to the Faculty Well Being Survey of 2006, which targeted needs for improvement in faculty job satisfaction and campus climate. The committee made recommendations and worked with other campus units to accomplish these goals. Recommendations were made on the topics of building productive career stages, creating a community of scholars and teachers, balancing work/life demands, and developing creative leadership and effective communication. The committee also focused on faculty diversity and creating an inclusive environment.
