The North Carolina State University, Division of Academic and Student Affairs, TRIO Programs Records contain the official website of TRIO Programs, as well as the website of the Upward Bound program.

The TRIO Programs are federal student services programs aimed to support all Americans from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend college. These programs are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and initially included three programs: Upward Bound, Talent Search, and Student Support Services. Over time, however, the number of the programs reached eight. Overall, TRIO assists people from low-income households, first generation college students, and individuals with disabilities in their path from middle school to postbaccalaureate programs. Upward Bound is one of the TRIO programs designed to prepare students for higher education. It brings high school students to college campuses after school, on the weekends, and during the summer to receive instruction in a variety of fields. This program has been part of NC State University since 1978 and serves students annually from five high schools.
