The North Carolina State University Libraries, Collection Management Department Records contain bound and unbound lists of titles and binders of statistics on library holdings.

The Collection Management Department built and managed the NC State University Libraries' collections in support of campus research and instructional needs. Among the department's responsibilities were selecting books, journals, electronic resources, and media; developing collection policies; and reporting collections data for reviews and accreditation. In 2016, Collection Management merged with Research and Information Services to become Collections and Research Strategy.

Biographical/historical note

The Collection Management Department built and managed the NC State University Libraries' collections in support of campus research and instructional needs. Among the department's responsibilities were selecting books, journals, electronic resources, and media; developing collection policies; and reporting collections data for reviews and accreditation. In 2016, Collection Management merged with Research and Information Services to become Collections and Research Strategy.

Scope/content

This collection contains bound and unbound lists of new titles for the period 1934-1956. There are also binders of statistics on library holdings, 1938-1941 and 1975-1982.
