The North Carolina State University, Office of the Provost, Confucius Institute Records include newsletters about the activities of the Institute. Materials range in date from 2012 to 2018.

The Confucius Institute, based in the Office of Global Engagement on NC State's campus, offered Chinese language courses for NC State students, K-12 teachers, businesses, and community members. The Institute also supported cultural programs and outreach activities. Confucius Classrooms were based in four institutions: Central Carolina Community College, Enloe High School, Saint Augustine's University, and Concord High School. It was founded in 2007 in partnership with Nanjing Normal University, in Nanjing, China. The Confucius Institute closed in June of 2019.

Biographical/historical note

The Confucius Institute was a branch of Hanban (Confucius Institute headquarters), also known as the Chinese National Office for Teaching Chinese, a branch of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
