Departments and groups represented in the collection include the Department of Athletics, the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Endowment Fund, Federal Student Financial Aid program, the Graduate School, NC State University Student Aid Association, Students Supply Store and the Wolfpack Club, among many others.
The audit reports do not follow a standard format; however, they often include information on salaries, endowment performance, the funding of construction projects, financial aid, scholarships, research income and expenditures, student housing and other topics.
Materials range in date from 1913 to 2009.
University audit reports appear first and are arranged chronologically by year. Audit reports are dated according to the calendar year in which the fiscal year ended. For example, a university audit report for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1984 and ending June 30, 1985 is listed as “Audit Report, 1985.” Additional materials are arranged alphabetically by unit and then chronologically.
