MoreThe records of the Horticulture Club (also known for a period as the N.C. State Horticultural Association) at North Carolina State University include their constitution and by-laws, meeting minutes, correspondence, membership rosters, financial information, newspaper clippings, other general information on the club, its activities, and its members. Issues of the Horticulture Club's newsletter (Collegiate Newsletter, Collegiate Horticultural Newsletter, and later the Horticultural Club Newsletter) are also present in this collection. The purpose of the Horticulture Club is to provide horticulture students with an opportunity to share their intersts and increase their knowledge of the field in an environment outside the classroom. The Horticultural Club (renamed the N.C. State Horticultural Association in 1981, though later returning to the name Horticulture Club) was established in or before 1947 at North Carolina State University. The Horticulture Club remains active as of 2008.
