Zorowski was born on July 14, 1930 and received a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1952. In 1953, he received a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and in 1956 a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering degree from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. Dr. Zorowski began teaching as an Associate Professor at North Carolina State University's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department in 1962. Other positions held at the university consisted of Associate Department Head, Department Head, and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. He also participated in the Southeastern University and College Coalition for Engineering Education. In addition, he served as a consultant for business organizations and professionally testified at court hearings involving machinery failures.
