Materials within this subgroup include correspondence, reports, financial reports, course action forms, and administrative materials that relate to the governing of the Graduate School, and range in date from 1914 to 2018. Graduate instruction began at North Carolina State University in 1893, with the first Master's degree conferred in 1894 doctoral degree in 1926. A Graduate School existed from 1923 to 1931, but it was eliminated with the consolidation of the public universities in North Carolina. It was re-established at NC State during the 1950s.
