Materials range from 1969 to 2018. The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), established in 1969, is a Federal Extension and Community outreach program that has been operating through the 1862-1890 land-grant universities across the country. Employing a community-based approach, EFNEP has been able to tackle issues such as economic insecurity, obesity, health and hygiene, and food insecurity around the country for low-income families and children.(http://nifa.usda.gov/efnep , accessed April 2019) In North Carolina, EFNEP is administered through North Carolina State University and North Carolina A&T State University (https://www.ncfamilieseatingbetter.org/EFNEP/partners-about.php, accessed April 2019).
